oh boy...here we go again
swine flu.............all of the schools are in walking distance from my school. The kids from the PS school feed into my school and have been visiting all week and one of the teachers at my school is married to an AP at I.S. 5......
ready or not, here it comes.....I predict my school will be next to close.

My school gets a lot of kids from IS 5 and PS 16...... many of my students have siblings in these two schools..... I'm surprised it hasn't hit my school yet. This is the first time I'm actually worried about it now that it's so much closer.

My principal emailed us to say they will lose funding if they do not make them up. I do not know if that means they will or not, but I am sure they do not want to lose funding.
Are any of you at I.S. 61? It is funny how close we must all work to one another.

IS 238 is one of our feeder middle schools (I work in a HS). Lots of my students have siblings there.

Really? You guys are still closing? Our superintendent said that we wouldn't close if swine flu was found.
And, of course, today my coworkers son's daycare was close because one of the kids there as it.

I'm very close to I.S. 5 too!! I work at I.S. 73 and a lot of students went home today with flu like symptoms...plus all my students live in corona and elmhurst...it's nuts
