making magazine rack/holder
I need a magazine rack If anyone knows of an easy way to make one could you please let me know. What would be even better if someone knows of a household item I could use as one. Money is tight so there must be something I can do. The problem is I am not "crafty" so I need something easy. I am throwing out my magazines that I have not even read because I have no where to put them. "out of sight is out of mind" so if I just stick them in a drawer I don't read them.

Re: making magazine rack/holder
my first question is what are you envisioning it looks like? One that looks like a mail sorter (ie, flat bottom with boards that stand up so that the magazines can be organized in them?) or more of a basket with two sides and a handle?
I think depending on what you are envisioning, there are different options.
I just bought some large rectangular baskets a few years ago at Michaels for the mags that I want to save. They are sea grass/jute with a cotton liner. The mags stand up in there, in no particular order. We keep it under one of our end tables on one side of the couch.

That is a good idea and then I could hide in under the table. Thanks for the suggestion

Re: making magazine rack/holder
what about using an old wicker basket? and buying some pretty ribbon and wrap it around the handle and tying a bow...sometimes you can get the baskets half off at michaels! and they always have the ribbon on sale?
