Update: She had her lung removed and they didn't have to resect the airway. From what I understand she will probably be home Sunday and on oxygen for a few days after and then she will start to breathe without it. She will need some help at home for a little while. The doc said she tolerated the surgery well and she should be ok.
She was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer. They will most likely take a lung tomorrow. Please pray that they don't have to resect her airway. The tumor is very aggressive, large and has spread. Chemo is not an option.
