That was a really fun(ny) series!!  Friday would have been the rubber match...that game could've gone either way with the pitching match-ups....and we won that one thanks to a little gift from Castillo.
Saturday, well, we went in there expecting to win that one since we had the veteran on the hill and the Mets had a virtual nobody. Oh boy were we wrong.
Sunday- we were like, fuggedaboutit...it's going to the Mets with Santana on the hill and with the way Burnett's been pitching...and there goes Santana with his worst start, and Burnett with his best in quite a while. Go figure!
Gotta love baseball!! Ya just can't write a script!
Now it's time to sweep the Nationals! Or at least keep winning series on the way to the All Star Break!

Would you believe that was the first time I'd been to a baseball game? And DH is a die hard Mets fan. I think DH thinks Im a curse. Despite the fact that I had a good time, I dont think DH will bring me to any more Mets games

Just a bit of trivia:
That 1977 game came one week after a game at Yankee Stadium vs. expansion Toronto. Final score, Toronto 19, Yankees 3!
Go figure!
