Today is my 2nd CPSE meeting-update

for Jacob since the May meeting didn't get us anywhere.

I am nervous as to what will come out of it but I am very well prepared to fight.

We have considered an integrated program. I did my research and went to schools and only 1 of them will I even think of sending him to. I am 2nd on the waitlist there..

So I am going to go in to the meeting demanding what my other option is for him.

Also regarding summer services- I still don't understand as does the pediatric developmental pediatrician why they denied summer services if they are recommending and integrated setting. I know have documentation stating he needs it. So lets see what happens.

UPDATE: Well we had the CPSE meeting and it went much better than I anticipated. I think that the having the Nassau County rep not there helped. I really did not have to fight at all.. We have a plan in place now for September and we received everything that I wanted and then some for September. If JAcob ends up getting into the school off the waitlist than we will do that.. Right now he will be returning to his preschool with related services..

For the summer we revceived services 2x a week for an hour-- better than nothing...

To qualify for summer services there has to be proof of a certain amount of regression. When he is not receiving therapy for holiday breaks do you see regression? If so, bring that up!
