So annoyed with VA unemployment
Seriously, I have no luck. I fill out all the stuff for unemployment in the beginning of May only to get a letter in the mail saying i need to have a phone interview with a deputy and my last employer, the one I worked at for 3 days until they found out I was pregnant and fired me bc I needed time off in July to have the baby. So my interview was June 16th, and the employer was being such a b!tc*. Seriously I worked there 3 days, I dont get why its even an issue. My last jon I worked at since I moved to VA until it closed, over a year. I am now waiting for an answer, which is killing me, bc we really really need the money.
Does anyone have any similar stories? did everything turn out ok?

I have no advice, but you said they fired you bc you needed time off to have the baby. That's illegal, no?

I filed a complaint with the EEOC. I havent heard anything regarding it yet. Their argument is, that when I was hired, I was told summer was their busiest time of year, which I can honestly say I do not recall. If they even said it at all. So they are saying since I couldnt work all of July, I needed to be replaced.
