cross-post: dermatologist recommendations in Babylon/Islilp area
I'm desperate, this is my 3rd cross post!!
I have one that just treated a basal cell carcinoma. Everything is taken care of, and I was told all is fine, but I have to follow-up in 6 weeks, but really did not care for the doctor - absolutely no personality and I felt he was not very thorough explaining things. So I'm searching for a new dr, hopefully one that I like enough as I plan on going 2x per year to keep my skin in check.
Any good dermatologists in the Babylon/Islip area? Or any area in Suffolk or eastern Nassau???Thanks.

Advanced dermatology in West Islip on Montauk Hwy.
I think there are a few dr.'s there but I always ude Dr. Applebaum. He is very thourough and nice

Thanks - I will check him out. I was going to someone different there and just did not like him!!

I was just going to recommend Dr. Applebaum too - I love him! Just make sure that you ask for him though if/when you call - my brother forgot to ask & they gave him a different doc that he REALLY disliked.
ETA: Oops just saw your second post - I wonder if it's the same guy my brother saw!

It might be. Dr. Francis Di???????? I will ask for Dr. Applebaum next time.

Dr. Pamela Basuk in Bay Shore is fantastic. I've also used the Dermatology Group in Bay Shore and they were good as well.

Thanks - a friend of mine just e-mailed me her name. The Dermatology Group does not take my insurance
