Need help find a job for my brother! PLEASE!
My brother's job with the census just ended and he is having a lot of trouble finding a job. He is almost 24 years old, no college degree but completed a few years of courses, has experience in retail, as an assistant store manager, waiter, and an assistant team leader for the census. He needs something f/t and that pays $12 an hour. PLEASE, I can't help support him much longer.

Unfortunately I think my agency is only hiring home health aides, and RNs, however, I came across this link that lists a bunch of social service agencies here on Long Island.
I would think most of them would hire entry-level positions that you do not need a degree or a lot of experience for. I am sure they probably pay around that plus offer benefits too!

What about car dealerships? He might be able to work in the parts department or as a driver. Some will train if you have basic car knowledge. The pay is usally good.

has he tried places like MaryHaven? they have paid training & start at around $12 per hour. How about bus companies? they are usually hiring. My 22 year old son just got a part time job doing telemarketing and another in Home Depot. Often Geico & newsday are hiring for their "call centers"

Geico is pretty much always hiring... but it takes them FOREVER to actually hire someone. You have multiple interviews, i'm talking approx 5, then you have a long training program to go through in a classroom setting, then you go to the floor in small groups where your calls are all monitored and you have a trainer pretty much right next to you to help if u get stuck. Benefits start the day you do- BONUS! They do have alot of different shifts you can choose from. There is lots of room for growth within the company and no degree is required. They have a pretty strict probation policy- I lost my job after needing a week off to attend two funerals back to back. ( I wasn't so pleased with them at that point, but overall, it was a great job.)
Otherwise, FedEx and UPS are always hiring too it seems. Good Luck!

he should try a medical billing company. they usually pay around that rate and will train. There is one in Happague called Finacial Medical Systems. He might want to try there.
