Stupid question about ovulation....

I am so confused. DH and I trying not to make the whole TTC very techinical, I know when I am ovulating, but when I ovulate is it too late to BD? Is it better before I ovulate, and then how many days after? I am so confused. Sorry to sound so ignorant on this topic, just trying to keep the "fun" in making a baby.

You're more fertile before you O and up to your O date. So get as much BDing in during that time as possible. If DH doesnt have any low-count issues, there's no reason you can't BD every day for 4-5 days before you O. Once you O, the egg only lives for a short time. It's still possible to get PG at that time, but you just have a better chance of getting PG if the sperm is already there waiting for the egg. Sperm can live in fertile CM for 3-5 days.

Kathy said it perfectly...the days leading up to O are your best bet, and the day after ) is good as well but the chances go down.

I understand trying to take some of the technical out of it. It helps...and thats a good way to approach TTC!
