I think its nice they got to die peacefully together & on their own terms....they even got to say goodbye to their families.

Call me crazy, but while this is a very sad story.. I think it was a very romantic and sweet thing the husband did to be with his wife forever in life and death..

I think it is sweet, but I am not sure how I feel about it.

I don't think I could do that.....but it makes me think, what if.........

I also think it's somewhat poetic, albeit very sad.

I'm rusty on my religion - in Catholicism, aren't those who commit suicide condemned to purgatory? Not saying they were Catholic, it's just a thought.

Reminds me of The Notebook.

I guess i am the only one who sees the husband as being a bit selfish in a way? How hard is it for the kids to not only lose their mother, but then also their father? I am all for assisted suicide for terminally ill people...but he wasn't...sad no matter how you look at it.

You're not the only one.

I don't find this romantic or sweet. I find this tragic and selfish. I really believe that he never learned to cope with his wife's illness and I am sad that he never got the help he needed.
