ESL
does anyone know if you can work in the schools with a certificate (from the TESOL companies) but not have K-12 teacher certification

Most public schools will require NYS certification. You may be hired to work at a community college or an independent school without a license from the state, but I would think it would depend on the school and what they are looking for.
