Help, I need some information please...
I went to EC this morning and what I thought would be a Natural IUI cycle this month has turned into something I dont know if I am happy about.
First, they put me back on clomid, this isnt a problem, although I have already been on it 3 cycles. But, they gave me a prescription for Ovidrel. I am not happy with the research I just did. It brings on multiple births and bad side effects. I have to call the dr on Mon because I saw a different dr today but I was very specific with my dr saying that I didnt not want to start with a lot of medicine, Can anyone tell me if they took it and what they know about it.

Isisnt Ovidrel the HCG shot?
Thats what I took two months ago?
ETA- yeah I just looked at my reciept. Ovidrel is a new pre-filled HCG shot. It comes pre packaged so you dont have to mix the med with saline like some of the other kinds. The med is already in the syringe.
Are you aware of what the HCG trigger shot does? Its used to time Ovulation. The HCG shot itself cannot cause you to have multiples...its just pure HCG hormone to trick your body into Ovulating.
The side effects are basically feeling like your PG, since thats what the hormone mimics. I had to pee a lot, sore BBs and some tiredness.
It doesnt carry the long term side efffects that any of the fertility meds do.
