We are taking some nice big leaps and bounds ...
Saw my SD again tonight for dinner....We went to a diner near her house...
8/9 is my DH's birthday and she wasnt sure if she was going to see him so she suprised my DH with a "sand cake" that she made herself
( a dessert sort of like cup of dirt) and brought Zoo-pals cups and spoons for everyone to eat with  ...She also bought him a card , so after dinner we sat in the parking lot and ate his "cake " 
She was also wearing the locket we had bought her for Christmas with DS, and DD pics in it  ...I can't believe how much progress we have made with her , so happy...For those of you who have followed our story, these little things are huge....Heres a few pics from tonight

I am so happy for all of you!
These are huge steps in the right direction. Surprising him with a cake and card shows she really cares about her dad and she looks so happy too.
Can I tell you, my SD is 14 and has never done something like that for DH - not even a phone call on his birthday.
