Canon SD400 Powershot..

I am 99% sure I am getting this camera for my B-day...

I just wanted to hear some positive/negative feedback..

Can you guys fill me in?

The most negative review I read on this is that the battery dies quickly and there is really no indicator to tell you when it's going to die. Anything else??

Thanks girls!!Chat Icon

That's funny..you know..I read your post last night, but I didn't see your response to what camera it was..I must have went offline before your response..

Well, I'm glad it's working now...Chat Icon If it still has a problem, do you have some kind of warranty on it..or do you think you can return it?? Just wondering for myself too.. I am going to mention this to the guy when I go buy it..

there is a year warranty on it. Mine being up since i got it for my birthday last year. But they have a 1-800 number that i called and they were very nice. They said that i could send it in even though it was a little past expiration date and they would fix it.
I am sure you can return it if you have the receipt...

GET THE RECEIPT just in case. But otherwise mine is FABULOUS...I have LOVED IT! And since the one you are talking about is a newer model i am sure it is even better!

GOod Luck

Re: Canon SD400 Powershot..

We just got this camera on Friday. So far (I can't say I've used it too often yet and just in the apartment) it has worked really well. I was deciding between this and the sony cybershot - but then my parents came for a visit who have the cybershot and I was not impressed at all with the quality of photo at all.

I think I've done enough research for about 10 people and it was the one we ultimately chose - it has great reviews and everyone who has it seems very happy with it. The night setting works really well (which in other cameras it just makes everything fuzzy) and I uploaded on pic to my computer last night and it looked really clear.

Good luck!

Thanks. I posted on LIW's a while back and someone returned the Sony cybershot because of quality. She actually posted a pic for me and I agree the quality was bad. Good choice!!

Re: Canon SD400 Powershot..

I have 2 powershots - one's the 200 (that I use for work) and the other's the 400

They're great cameras - I've had them a few years now. I've dropped the 200 a bunch of times, and its still going strong...
