Again!???!!!...Why Me?

So it happened AGAIN!!! This time at 7 weeks. Yesterday I went to the Dr. after having heavy cramping and bleeding. She said there was nothing inside of me, but I did have some pregnancy tissue. She was able to scrape away some blood and what she hopes was tissue, in hope that she can send away for genetic testing to rule out chromosomal issues.

In two weeks I have to go for more blood testing for a number of things, one of which would test me for thrombosis. This is a blood clotting disorder. On the positive side, the Dr. did say that out of a number of reasons why I could be having the losses, many of them can be treeated!

Has anyone ever had any issues with miscarriages, that has had a diagnosis? I can't wait two weeks for answers, I need some peace of mind that someone else has had a treatable disorder.

I haven't had a diagnosis yet, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it must be like to go through this twice... I am so very sorry.

i am so sorry you are going through this.. its so hard dealing with recurrent losses.
i had 2 miscarriages and after the 2nd.. i decided to see the RE.
he had me take all the possible tests to rule out anything.. every test that i took came back normal. so for me, i have unexplained IF, and its just bad luck .

but its good you are getting all the tests done.. you dont want to have to go through another loss ... its awful

I had my second m/c at 6 1/2 weeks. I have a whole list of immune/clotting disorders that my dr wants me tested for. she wants me to wait for my next cycle before going to get them.

I'm so sorry for your losses I've had 3 MCs in the last 6 months and finally started seeing an RE after the 3rd but I regret not going after the second... So far we haven't figured out my issue but my RE is optimistic. If you need to talk, I'm here

i am very sorry for your loss.

I had 2 mc as well. One at 9 weeks the other at 8. I went for a recurrent pregnancy loss test after my 2nd mc and was diagnosed with a clotting disorder. Easily treatable. I started asprin asap - got pregnant again and started lovenox injections.


There are many women on this board who unfortunatly have exp pregnancy losses . They either have a diagnosis or just "bad luck" but have gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

I had 2 early losses (both occured at 5 wks- 1 wk after my bfp). I have been seeing a infertility specialist and the following issues were found:

Prothrombin gene mutation (blood clotting issue)
Hypothyroidism
2 types of antibodies for something (I can't remember)
Elevted Natural Killer Cells

I have been taking all kinds of meds and treatments for all these issues. I am currently 6 wks pregnant and while I am terrified of something going wrong again I also feel confident that I am in good hands and treating the issues and everything will be ok this time.

I just had my 2nd loss. the first was a chemical after 5 weeks and more recently after 10 weeks a dnc was necessary. They sent out the tissue for testing but said it would take 4 weeks for results. It's terrible to have no answers but I'm a firm believer than everything happens for a reason....even if we may never know why

Thank you ALL for your well wishes. This chat board has really helped me keep some sort of order in my life at this difficult time! I am hoping that the Dr. will find something simple and treatable that is wrong with me so that my DH and I can be on our babymaking way soon again. I have had some peace of mind with some of your posts and I thank you for that!

I had 2 losses- one at 12 weeks, one at 9 weeks. I went for the full mc panel and they didn't find anything wrong. They told me at Madonna that it could have been a blood clotting issue b/c new tests come out for it every so often that may pick up what the last one didn't. He recommended that I take baby aspirin during this pregnancy. My primary OBGYN agreed.

I had a thrombosis (spelling) work up while PG b/c my mom has a history of the clots. I got my test rsults back after my last (only) m/c & ours had a chromosonal defect. Hugs for you
