Need opinions..... chair in the reading corner...

I was thinking of getting a bean bag chair for the reading corner in my classroom.

I teach middle school and I thought it would give a cozy look to the reading corner, along with a pretty rug....... I was thinking I could use it as a reward for good work, that they could sit in the bean bag chair and read while we have reading time.


What do you think? Could I be introducing unnecessary problems because the kids might jump on it? It COULD be a very nice thing to use as a reward and of course it will look nice

I bought one for my classroom, and it has turned out to be a nightmare...

I teach 5th grade, and stupidly thought that 5th graders could handle the responsiblility of sharing and taking turns. I was wrong.

At the start of Reading Workshop, I have had actual FIGHTS break out.

So, while I think it's a great addition to the classroom, be prepared to have some sort of schedule rotation...even for middle school, I bet

anyone else have any ideas or experiences to share? I'm leaning towards 'no' now, but I'm still not sure.......
