The top "dog" in your office (POLL)
Meaning, the person with the highest authority in your office building for instance a CEO. Do you address them by their first name or their formal last name (i.e. Mr. Smith)?
Just wondering, Im bored

Our office is very casual. Everyone is on a first name basis.

Since I've never met the CEO of my it would be Mr..
This is the CEO of a large investment bank. I see him once or twice a year on the elevator. All other times when he's giving us our quarterly reports through video.

I work on the executive floor and everyone here is addressed by their first name. We are a large corporation, but we have a very relaxed, open-door environment.

first name.
if it makes a difference, i'm in civil service.
even the BIG "boss" (who is appointed, not a civil employee) is addressed by his first name.

Re: The top "dog" in your office (POLL)
CEO, I address Mr. so and so. I work for a huge company and feel he deserves the respect. I would feel funny calling him "Bob"
The CFO I call by the first name b/c I know him better and work with him quite often.

I've never had any reason to address him personally, but everyone in the company refers to him by his first name.
