Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
I am just curious. Did your family help? Did you hire someone? Or, did dh just step it up and help a lot?
Thanks!

Re: Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
Im very lucky that I have help with my twins. My mom comes everyday to help me and now that they are both running around I definitely need it!!
If I had to do it alone, I probably could but I like having help.

Re: Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
Most days I am home alone with the twins and my hubbie helps at night after work... but we have date nights every saturday where my mom AND mother in law both come over and each handles a twin! Also, I work out twice a week and my mom watches them for one hour on Friday and my MIL watches them one our on Tuesdays.

95% of the time it is me.. and only me.. Really I thought that more people in our family would step up and help and really that isn't the case... Everyone is busy with their own life.. I did hire someone on the days that I work from home..
DH helps when he isn't working, or working out.. So most of the time it is just me and my twins!

My mom helped out for the first two weeks after DH went back to work. I've been on my own since then. I take care of them all day and work from home.

My mom's a teacher so she has been helping a lot since school ended. She has been here almost everyday my DH has worked. It's been great.

Re: Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
We had ZERO help in the beginning. I went back to work at 7 weeks and my DH was looking for a job as he was involved in commercial finance and had to get out of that industry-so he took care of them a LOT. When they were about 3 months old-we hired a nanny who is with them during the day while I work(i work in sales from my home and I travel to two states)

Re: Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
DH and I are 50/50 care takers and always have been since they were born. We needed help when one was in the hospital for a month and the other was home since the hospital was an hour away and I could not drive.
We could have done it without the help, but the help was definitly appreciated and it would have been hard, but doable.
I returned to work at 13 weeks and we had a sitter come in for 4 hours a day until DH got home from work. He was alone with them for 4 hours until I got home. So he is as much of a primary caregiver as I am.

Re: Did you have a lot of help with your twins?
No help. I mean my sister would sit with them if I needed to go to the dr or something. But, it was mostly just me & hubby. (Oh & their big brother who was 4 when they were born)
