I think I can speak for (almost) everyone here when I say you are entitled to come on here and vent whenever you feel necessary. I hope your school year starts turning around soon!!

You are more than welcome to vent on here anytime. I know from the Parenting board that you just returned from maternity leave and I can only imagine how you feel right now. I am returning from leave in November and I am dreading it. I hope I have this board to turn to for comfort if and when I feel like complaining. Complain away!!

Gotta love long weekends
I decided today that this job is simply not worth the amount of time that I spend stressing out over it. My principal is making my job nearly impossible, and my teaching is going to suffer for it. That bothers me. But there's very little I can do. I'm going to do the best job that I can under the circumstances, but I am just done with staying at school until 5pm (while my daughter sits in daycare) just so I can try to catch up.

I completely agree!! There are some people who no matter HOW HARD you try, they will always find criticism!!
I say go home to your beautiful daughter and try to catch up when you're there. School stress is just NOT worth it!!!

Good for you! You sound like a dedicated teacher but in the end it's just a job. Your daughter and your sanity are much more important! I hope things get better for you at school.
