I am doing mine 9/28 at the planting fields... there is a little pond there, and i am planning on going in it... i think it is just regular water... do you think i will ruin my dress???

I mean when dresses get washed they get wet right??

I was thinking of preserving my dress for my kids baptism.. but that wasn't definate

We are doing this. I never had a 'real' wedding dress so I don't care what happens to my dress because it wasn't terribly expensive.
If I had owned a gown I would have done mine at the beach and gone in the ocean.
I am having my hair & make-up re-done by the same people who did it on my real wedding day.
I am having my original calla lily bouquet remade. We are doing ours at a park where we were married because we want more professional photos of our wedding day.

edit- I did always want to save my gown (had I actually gotten one) for my kids Christening as well. I'm sure yours can be cleaned.

We did ours with Blue Daisy and we were by the water but I did not want to get in.

The dress got really dirty int he bottom which came right out but I am not sure about Pond water...

We did not have a bouquet but we had props with us...

I had mine scheduled but had to postpone it cause DH had to go on a business trip and my photographer is preggo and should be due soon, so I am waiting for her to contact me. I wanted to do it on the Beach, guess I have to wait till next year I am planning on using my first dress as that is the one I really love. I plan on getting in the ocean..the way I see it I will never wear my dress again and would love to wear and take pics all over again.

I actually saw a bride do it in CT a waterfall right behind, but I am sure that would cost more money so I am okay with Beach pics for now.

I am planning on doing this next year...once I get back to my normal weight after giving birth LOL. I wanted to do it this year, but before I knew it, I was preggo LOL.

I plan on getting a BOK from the same place I ordered my flowers from... somewhat simular to what I had on my wedding but only less... doesn't need to be soo extravagent...

The bottom part of my dress is already drity b/c I am short, so once my heels were kicked off that night it was dragging slightly on the floor... but I don't mind. I really should get it cleaned... or at least clean in myself... Hmm... LOL..

I don't think I want to really go in the water or anything, but I don't think I'll really care if it gets dirty from the park or something. It was too cold to go to a park in April... at least that's what my girls were saying HAHA
