Prenatal Vitamins
I just bought my first bottle of prenatal vitamins and they are huge. Do all brands have such big pills? I could barely swallow it.

I take Precare Chewable Prenatal Vitamins. They taste great!!
I could never swallow those huge horse pills.

They gave me big ones too when I first started TTC. I asked them to give me something else and they prescribed huge chewable ones that were the grossiest things i have ever tasted. I asked again and they now gave me a good and small one. I would call and ask the to prescribe you another smaller one. Don't go the chewable route either, unless you have problems swallowing.

Why do you say dont go the chewable route? From what I have read and from ladies on this board who has taken a chewable vitamin, they have had healthy babies with no problems. So what have you heard or what are the concerns with chewables?

I'm also a horrible pill taker. If there bigger than an Advil, I just can't do it. 
I 've been taking a chewable multi-vitamin for about a month. It's orange flavored, so it's actually not that bad.
OK, just looked at the brand name. It's called Nature Made. It's a multi, chewable for adults. it contains 400mcg of folic acid. My other bottle of Nature's Bounty folic acid is 800mcg. If I take both, that 1200mcg of folic. Is that too much?? 
Also bought applesauce to help my pill-swallowing dilema.

We're probably taking the same one. Are you taking PreCare? I believe mine are orange flavored too. I am just very curious as to why the previous post said to stay away from chewables

i just started taking the prenatals yesterday..i bought the cvs ones and thought they were too big too...
I just gulp them down with a cup of water..
its not so bad...i usually have problems swallowing big pills
