if you were on tv on a reality show
would you act the same as if you didn't have a camera following you around or would you over exagerate everything you did, like act more than actually being yourself.

i'm sure i would act a little different....human nature, reaction to being in the spotlight...at least i think that would be my reaction.

i think I would just be conscious of the cameras at first, but it wouldn't change my personality or actions. I'd probably forget about them after a while and end up embarassing myself just by being the real me 
On a side note - I think people on shows like The Real World, Road Rules, etc are also at the mercy of producers and the editors to some extent. True, I think they ham it up a bit bc they're on TV, but editing can put a slant on anyone's image - and it's funny how most of them say "that wasn't really me" after the shows are over....

I would feel the same as you.
2nd paragraph... it's all clever/careful editing that portrays people differently sometimes. But if a girl looks like a ho (bringing guys all the time), acts like a ho (dresses like one), then she mostly like IS a ho!

I would probably be hyper-aware of everything I said and did. I've seen people do such stupid things on reality shows, and then they have to go back to their regular lives where everyone saw them humiliate themselves. The fact that the show would be over and I would be back with co-workers and students would HOPEFULLY always be in the front of my mind!
Then again, if I was on the Amazing Race and running to get a bus/train/plane I would totally be cursing like a sailor because that is what I do.

I think it would depend on the show. I would try and hide the real me, and put on a nice calm act. But lets say, the Amazing Race, believe me with money on the line, I would become an instant bully to my team member. Survior-once Aunt Flo comes to visit, and I am hungry and dirty on a beach, America will crown me the new Omarosa
Real World-I would be quiet and classy, till we go out to the first bar. Then my Irish whisper will come out.
