Re: Spinoff - STEPMONSTER

I haven't read it yet, but I would let DH know I was reading it in order to deal with my emotions better and to be a better stepmother.

Re: Spinoff - STEPMONSTER

my DH does not know that I read the book - yet. I did not say anything to him about it b/c I was afraid DH would be offended in some strange way. He thinks that SD does no wrong and he always makes excuses for her very poor behavior and I have been accused of being "too harsh" with my discipline beliefs. So I felt that I would keep it to myself for now b/c like I said, I didn't want him to take it as an attack against SD. At some point I would like him to read it b/c I think it would be beneficial to all 3 of us. We still have A LOT of mending to do.

I haven't read it yet, but I would like to pick up a copy. I see no reason not to tell DH.

Re: Spinoff - STEPMONSTER

initially, i wasn't going to tell my dh, but found it impossible not to b/c i was reading it for hours..i took the jacket off of the book b/c i didn't like the title - i didn't wand SS to think that he's a stepmonster...lol...so i hid it from my ss and covered the spine as often as possible while i read.

my dh didn't think i needed to read the book but we were fighting so much w/ all of the stress of now having ss live with us that he figured, if it would help me, why not. i read a few parts aloud to him and would LOVE for him to read a few parts, but that will never happen.
