Would this Upset You...

My father died on 9/4....my 2 brother's and I will be flying to Florida this week to give him a memorial in front of his home - on the beach - my husband is will be with me ----
My one brother- his wife wants to be there for him and us, but the 2 kids are sick - she was willing to fly down for 1 day for the memorial - but b/c the girls are sick - she will be staying home; my other brother - his wife says she can't make it b/c she started school at night (she works during the day) and can't miss a class - but she has no class on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. So I tell my brother to have her come down on Friday for the wkend and so we can all be together - she can't come then b/c the dogs....then I say you have a 18yr old at home can't she take care of the dogs for 3 days???! He said it is tooo much for the 18y.o. w/ work and school (me = ). BUT the working/going to school SIL WILL BE taking the bereavement days off of work anyway and staying home. WTH????
I was really p'ssd when I heard this - would it bother you??

First, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Secondly, yes it would bother me that she's taking bereavement days off from work but isn't actually there with the rest of you. However, I'd let it go for now and try to focus on your own grieving process. Forget about the anger you feel towards her and just be there for yourself and your brothers and your father's memory.
