I have a DR apt tonight..UPDATE

SO my 6 month check up is tonight... (although I wont be 6 months until next week) and Im so scared to get on the scale

I did so good...the first 4 months I gained nothing... then the last visit I gained 7 and now... Ive gotta be up 20 lbs...

Ive really popped the past few weeks..and my appetite just keeps growing...

Its not about the weight...i love to diet and excercise so after my boy is born... Ill just go back into my routine... but Im more scared my DR is gonna be like...to much weight gain...how much is too much???

I doubt your dr. will tell you too much weight gain...it doesn't sound like you've gained too too much...taking into consideration that I gained at least 10 in the first 3 months...and my dr. hasn't said a thing to me yet!

So far I've gained 24lbs, and I'm 28 weeks... I really thought my Dr. was going to lecture me, but he told me I'm perfectly fine, and look great (FINALLY, a compliment! ) Don't worry too much - there are some things you can control, but pregnancy weight really isn't one of them!

I think we all have that same fear - getting yelled at for putting on too much weight. I went in last week for my 15 week checkup and thought for sure I was going to get in trouble because I've gained 8 lbs - and that's only since my 6 week checkup. I think it may be more like 15lbs.
The nurse told me I was fine, and that when you gain weight that means the baby is growing too!!! So that's the way I look at it now...

don't worry about what the doctor says. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry about gaining weight. Its a natural process and everyone's body is different. You usually gain the most right about now and then with start to slow up in the next month or so.

OK so Im back... total weight gain so far 21 lbs, at 23 weeks however the DR said nothing to me about it... so I guess that means Im fine....

When he measured my belly he said that I was measuring 24 weeks... what does that mean...I might be further along than expected or just that Im having a BIG boy????

Thanks girls for everything! People at work always look at me and go, I cant believe you are almost 6 months pg. but sometimes I cant help to feel a little bit like a big fatty...lol

Sounds like you are doing great!

Measurements can vary depending on who does the measuring and where the baby is laying. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I know how you feel! I went to my Dr on Tuesday, I gained another 9 pounds! So now I am 23 weeks and gained 22 pounds! My doctor hasn't said anything about it.
