Awaiting my Second Miscarriage

Hi All,

I am new to this online support system but I figured I'd give it a try.

About four month ago, I had my first miscarriage at 5 1/2 weeks. I felt as though my life was crashing down around me. I told my hubby there is no way I am going through this again but sure enough I found the strength to try again. Two months later, I was pregnant. After see the heart beat for the first time, words cant explain how excited I was that everything was going to be ok. After my 10 1/2 week visit at the doctor I was told I was having another miscarriage. I cant even explain how I felt. The world had stopped spinning for me at that moment. Two weeks ago the baby was healty, heart beating and now I must wait five days (until Friday) to have a D & C.

I cried for two days straight and now I dont know what to feel. I cant even talk to anyone about it because I am the only one in my family that has ever had a miscarriage let alone two. AHHH. I am just so angry that it has happened twice. And I am worried that it will happen a third tiime.

How do you find the strength to get through this and keep trying for another?

I had a m/c in July. At my 7 w appt, baby had a very slow HB. A week later there was no growth or HB. I had a d&c a few days later

Right now, we are trying again. Im VERY scared of another m/c. I cant EVER imagine going through all that pain again but honestly, time definitely helped with the healing and I just cant give up on wanting to be a mother.

Many girls on this site have had more then 1 m/c and are trying again or expecting again. Maybe some of them will share their stories to give you some hope. Everyone on here is very supportive so you are absolutely in the right place!!

I understand how devastated you are right now but try to stay strong. This whole process can be very scary but I truly believe all the women on here will have their happy endings

I know it sucks, but hang in there. When you do get pregnant, and hold that little baby in your arms, all of this will melt away and pale in comparison.

I'm so so sorry you are going thought this, it will get easier i promise!
I've had 2 D&C's this year and the first was after we saw the heartbeat at 8wks.

I am so so sorry. Just know that the girls on this site are wonderful, and the online suppor system really helped me get through my m/c.

It is such a horrible thing and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I honestly don't know how we go on to try again but we do. This is my 2nd month after the D&C and I'm in the 2ww waiting to see if i'm pregnant again. I am terrified and excited.

Thank you all for the responses. Its amazing how wonderful all of you are and your kind words. Sitting here waiting for tomorrow is dreadful. I still cant believe this is happening to me again. To make matters worse I have come down with a nasty cold.

I am so worried that I will cry all day tomorrow. I still cant grasp that I saw the heart beat less than two weeks ago and now there is nothing there. I keep replaying the last couple of weeks. Hopefullly, tomorrow will come and go quickly and I am able to heal once again. This really sucks and feels so unfair.

I am glad I found this site and hearing everyone's story. It really supportive to hear others are trying again.

I'm so sorry for you loss I would ask your OB for a recurrent MC panel to see if you have any underlying issues. The D&C will also be able to tell if it was due to chromosomal reasons or not. Hopefully, you can try to get to the bottom of why this is happening before you TTC again.

I've had 3 losses since Feb. After the first 2, I had the MC panel but put off the HSG that my OB suggested. The panel resulted in me going on baby aspirin and Folgard bc they determined I had MTFHR. However, after my 3rd MC, I did the HSG and discovered a polyp that they think may have been causing probs so now I have to get it removed. I'd just request all the testing now so it both lowers your anxiety when you try again and make sure you next PG is successful. FM me if you want to talk

I'm so sorry for your loss

I had a MC back in April and just found out I am PG again. I worry every day about the possibility of another MC. It's not fair that these things have to happen, but hopeully like another poster said you can get some testing done and possibly determine if there are some underlying issues. I hope you feel better soon.

I am experiencing something very similar right now. I had a m/c last May at about 5/6 wks. Got PG again in Augst and now it looks like I'm going to m/c again

I too don't know how you find the strength. For as sad as I was with the first m/c, I was able to pick and get positive again and move on. This second m/c brings with it so many new stresses and sadnesses that I didn't experience the first time. Moving on from this is going to be much harder.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. It is so difficult experiencing a miscarriage. I am sorry you have to experience it again.

It def is scary TTC again after a m/c. In time you will heal every day we get a bit stronger. It will happen for you...it just may take a time.

There are a lot of women on this board with re-occuring miscarriages who go on to have a healthy pregnancy.

We are all here for you whenever you need to chat, vent, or just need a friend.

I am so sorry that you are dealing with this heartache for the second time around. I've had one m/c and all I can say is that each day got easier for me. I get motivated by picturing that little baby in my arms one day soon.

I know it's hard to find the strength to want to go through it all again, but hopefully the end result will make it worth it!

I'm so sorry you're going thru this again.

I also had 2 mc's this year--in March and July. I went for additional bloodwork and was found to have MTHFR and have an appt w/a perinatologist on 10/22.

Please get yoru dr to send you for more bloodwork. You shouldn't have to go thru this again.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just recently had my second miscarriage in September my first one was April 08. I know how heartbreaking it is.... But, I have just been looking at it as this is something I have to go through to get to the end result. It is not fair, but we will get there.

The wait is over. Just got back from my D&C. Cried all morning. There were at least five women there getting a D&C done. Truly heartbreaking. Time for rest. Thanks everyone. I couldnt have done it without all your kind words and support. Hopefully I can begin to heal and TTC once again. (well after my body heals and I have demanded additional testing) God only knows I do not want a third m/c.

Sorry!! I am glad you are ok and the procedure is done.

Tonight u need to relax, put on a good movie, and try to just rest up. I am sure this was one long week for you. The worst is over with and I hope each day u get stronger.
