AF question

For those that don't know..I MC over the weekend and my body got rid of everything on its own. Everyone keeps telling me that if it weren't for HPT that I wouldn't have even known and would of thought that my MC was AF.

So should I expect AF in 3 weeks then?? Just wondering Chat Icon

Re: AF question

Hi there,

With my 1st m/c, (no d&c needed) i didnt get AF for about 4-5 weeks. I thought something was wrong but my doctor assured me it can take up to 6 weeks depending on your particular body/situation.

I am so sorry for your lost and know how difficult it is. Let me know if you need anything.

Re: AF question

4 weeks would be 28 days, so it's pretty much back to normal????

Re: AF question

I heard the same thing. My m/c showed up as AF 5 days later than it was originally due Chat Icon So yeah, I guess in some cases a person in that kinda situation would just assume that the m/c was AF, but not me. I'm NEVER more than 2 days late ever. So I woulda known something was wrong even without the HPT.

As for getting back on schedule, it really depends on your body. I'm right now on my first cycle after the m/c and 3 days away from when AF SHOULD arrive (according to my 28 day cycle). I definitely am cramping and such, so I hope that my body is jumping right back into its regular cycle. But for some people it can take longer. You just never know.

So sorry, again, for your loss Chat Icon

Re: AF question

Thanks ladies.

I still temp every morning and this morning I did take my temp a few hours later than normal and got a higher than usual temp. I assumed it was because of the time.

But I just checked my temperature again because I have a usual body temp of around 97.5, but again got 98.4. I was just wondering if it was at all possible to ovulate this soon????

Re: AF question

First off, I am so sorry for your loss! I did not have a D &C either, and I just got AF for the first time on Sept 30th. I had my M/C on Aug 28th, so it was about a month! I hope that helps

Re: AF question

just wanted to let you know that mine came right on time. It was my first cycle after the m/c (and I too did not have a D&C- was only 5 wks along). AF arrived exactly 28 days later. My doctor said that it could take longer in some cases, but I just wanted to let you know that it doesn't have to Chat Icon Hopefully your cycle is right back on schedule as well

Thanks!! I have a strange feeling that mine may be right back on track. If I count my MC as AF, then I would be on CD10 and I have creamy CM right now. I'm temping and keeping track of CM. We shall see. Thanks for your help!!
