******-sorry so long but need advice :0

Some of you know that my dh has been looking for a part time job on top of his very part time job. 2 weeks ago he found something, then he gets a call he is going to work that they over-hired. So he "lost" that job. He started looking for something else. He called places, applies in person, online. Nothing. Finally someone called him. Same type of job he is doing, he was very interested. The guy told him he would call back at the end of the week. Ok, Thursday comes, the guy calls back (but it seems like he doesn't remember speaking to him as he asks him the same questions but my dh was like whatever and I said maybe he got confused as he had many calls), tells him that he would like to hire him, could he start the next day. My dh, who is the type of person who is loyal to his boss and company told him he would have to start on Monday so he wouldn't leave his boss high and dry. Guy says ok, call back on the weekend to definately let me know if you want the job. He told him he would but he definately would take the job. Dh calls back on Sat., tells the guy he wants the job, guy tells him his partner will call back the next day Sunday with the time and place to meet on Monday. No call on Sunday, no call on Monday. My dh inbetween has been leaving messages and texts. Calls again today (thinking that maybe they were off for the holiday), no answer. I called and the guy answers (with the sound of young kids in the background).
OMG-what the heck???!!! How do you hire someone and then ignore their calls? I told him to call on our home phone and see if he answers that and if he is ignoring him :0
I am getting soooo frustrated with the human race lately of how irresponsible they are!!!!
My dh is TRYING to do the right thing and he just seems to be losing out.
SOOOOOOO...now my dh has NO job, apparentely!! He would have NEVER quit the other job without getting another one, which he did!!!!!

That's not right. Can DH go back to his old job?
I think you should give up on the schetchy job - who knows if he'd even get paid.
Good luck.

Well his boss basically blew him off for the weekend and they worked 1 hour on Friday so he COULD have taken the job that next day but he was trying to do the right thing. I guess good guys always finish last :0

Yes because the guy GAVE him the job :0
No, he has always just been hired like that, either in person or on the phone. Never a problem.

I told my dh to call him on another phone, which he did and he immediately called him back. He said they have been really busy and thought his "partner" was going to call him back and will get in touch with him to call him.
We will see but not sure what is going on!!
