so happy!!
my son who is 6 would not wear button down shirts since he was like 2. ( btw he has pdd.) i used to fight it when he was younger but i said if that's the only thing it's not so big. last night he came up to me and said "mommy can i have a shirt with buttons for Christmas and a neck tie?" i couldn't believe what i was hearing!!! so i said really? are you sure? and he said yes. so i got dressed right away, even though he should have been going to bed but i didn't care! we took a ride to TCP and he picked out a shirt and a tie!!! he loved it and that's what he's wearing for Christmas!! it might not last but i couldn't believe that he loved it!!! i feel like we hit a major milestone!!! just had to share my exciting news!!!

I remembered you posting about this.
Great news!
I think they do have phases and maybe it bothered him for some reason.
DS has sensory issues. But I find that he will overcome things if he changes his mind or has an incentive.

yea i had posted this a while back and wasn't sure what to do and i just decided to not fight it and he just decided on his own. who knows why it's just a really big step and i'm so proud of him!
