I thought we could use some fun post to get us excited for our Oct & Nov BFP's.

What our some baby names you love???

If you are superstitous...that's ok. Then maybe just share some names that in general you like.

Well I can give you a list of names that DH put the kabosh on:

Still in the running:

Mia Elizabeth/Olivia (I like Elizabeth; DH likes Olivia)
Violet Marie (I'll have to fight him on this one)
Gemma Marie/Rose(I havent mentioned this one to him yet)
Juliet Marie/Rose (Marie is my middle name, Rose is my maternal grandmothers name who died before I was born)


For a boy, we are set on James Giro Jr (Giro is a family name...its pronounced Geer-o not Gyro )

Oh boy I LOVE names! I have had a book of baby names since I was in high school. Since DH is greek our first born son must be named Dean after his father...but b/c I didn't want that we compromised and said that if it's a girl I could name her So here are my girls names (alot I know): Lynnis my middle name and my mom's middle name so I like it as a middle name!

ha this is such a sore subject in my house Dh & I can NOT agree on anything.
My middle name is Lee, my fathers name so I might use that..somehow. My grandfathers name was Andrew so I might incorporate that as a middle name.

DH is the 3rd, so if we have a boy he's like it to be the 4th! I told him many times that I don't like it, but in the back of my mind I keep praying "girl, girl, girl"....

Girls namses we like are:

Maeve

We'd most likely use our mom's names as middle names.

Now I hope down the road, none of us will come back and say "she *stole* my name"!!!

Ohhh I think about this ALL the time! haha

If we have another boy his name will be Matthew Ryan.

We have a harder time with girl names:

I like:
Milania and Madison

DH likes:
Madison and Brianna

I say because DS is Michael Aidan and named after DH that if we would have a girl that I should name her! lol

I was thinking that too. But that would just mean we have great taste!.
Heather -that means you and I with Ava.

I wouldn't care at all with you girls if we picked any names.

But i have learned to make sure not to tell family and friends names....

I totally agree. Sometimes I lurk on PG and parenting and they get so upset that their parents and ILs don't like the name, so they CHANGE it!!!! Or they get upset that a friend chose the same name *gasp* without asking them first!!!!
I had a friend call me and ask if she could have my boy name Cameron, she took it...her son was born 1/08 so on to a new for me.

I love these kinds of threads, but i get nervous writing my name choices. lol. Last time I did DH got so upset. He was like "No! now everybody's going to take our names!" We do have one favorite boy's name but just recently I looked it up and it was on the Most Popular Names list which is a big no-no for us. The last thing we want is a name that's common, so that bums me out because I LOVE this name. We might just have to deal. lol.

But yeah, boy names come to me so much easier than girl names.
