What do I do???
My current job is not working out the way I thought it would. In a nutshell, I was sold a bill of goods BIGTIME. There is no support and the place is in chaos. I have to constantly justify my actions to the "owner" (not even my boss) who I have direct exposure to. He is extremely bi-polar and goes from being Mr. Nice Guy to building a monumental case against me. It's a daily roller coaster of anxiety, etc. Outside of the money and my boss (who is great), I loathe coming here and feel no connection at all to the position. Every initiative I've tried to engage has been shot down.
My former company approached me about resuming my prior position/title. There are new considerations that I didn't think ahead to with this new job vs. the old job. I was sort of misled on the FMLA policies, etc. and that factors in TREMENDOUSLY to our family planning goals. I would also be receiving an additional week to my five weeks of vacation (on top of two personal weeks and five sick days). I would also be able to work from home PT. I just don't know what to do...
I really hated my previous job but I don't know if peronal issues factored into my mindset at that time. I also know that I'm in the clear on a personal level right now and I could never see myself retiring from this place, whereas I had a 10 year career at my other position...
Someone help me out here..

Re: What do I do???
I would make a list of the tangible things I hated about the old job and address it with them. If they really wanted me back, they would work on them with me.
I'm assuming it was stuff like I want more training on specific software/I need some support staff at this time of year/etc. and not I can't stand working with Jane since that's not likely to change.
The benefits at the old job make it hard to stay in a job you can't stand.
Also, is the new job in the same field? Maybe you really hate the field, so you'd hate both jobs no matter what. Can you look into a career change at your old company so you retain the benefits and your time in at the company?
