Grandma has good intentions...
My husband's grandmother knits the standard baby outfit for all the family members. Since she's getting older and the hands arent working as well she has knitted one for all the grandchildren, including my husband.
So, my MIL came over yesterday and told us that grandma has knitted us a baby outfit. MIL said 'Yeah, I told her I dont know if/when you guys are having a baby, but grandma insisted just to give it to you". DH and I didn't say anything but "That's nice." Boy, was that uncomfortable. MIL NEVER, EVER brings up us having kids - that might have been the first time it was mentioned. It kind of made me feel a little sad/bad.

Awww. I would have felt a little sad/bad too- because she was nice enough to knit it for you...that's so cute.

I would have felt bad too, but she had the best intentions. I would consider putting it on a really nice teddy bear (I'm thinking vermont teddy bear?) for sentimental reasons.
