Hi,

I am new to this board. I use to be a vendor on LIWeddings until my world was turned upside down with an autism diagnosis for my son.

My son Mikey is now 2 1/2 years old and recieves tons of therapy. He is a very sweet boy, easy going, and always happy, however he is very delayed in speech and cognitive language and has no interest in toys. I am considering getting him a puppy in the hopes that he can find a companion in him and something fun to do besides listening to his music and playing with his blankey. Has anyone had good experiences with introducing a dog to their autistic child?

Also, I am just starting the CPSE transition process, I was wondering if anyone can give me advice or share any recommendations on schools.
