Thryoid Cancer
Good morning,
has anyone had or know anyone who has had a thryoidectomy?
was it because they had cancer or just a nodule that was suspicious?
any comments are helpful!

Re: Thryoid Cancer
My cousin had cancer and had it removed when she was a teenager.
My MIL has nodulse and is getting it removed for cautious reasons in a few months.

Re: Thryoid Cancer
My father did just about 4 months ago. They thought it could be cancer but wouldnt know until they removed it. The biopsy before surgery were clear but there is still a chance. He had it removed because it was enlarged and he had growths on it. My sister and I did a lot of research on Thyroid cancer and if it is caught early it is very curable.
His was not cancer thank god and now he is just on increased meds and has to take calcium.

GL.....my family was freaking a bit when we first heard the news he had to have the thyroid out but he is doing very well without (better actually) and he just has to follow up with his Dr. to make sure his meds are at the correct level.
