My new found passion.. beading!!!

I have taken 2 bead classes so far. One was basic jewerly and the other one was working with silk and knotting.

I have to say that I have found a new hobbie. I did not know if I would like it but I do. I really fell in love after taking the knotting with silk class.

I will be taking other classes.

I am glad I tried something new.

I took a few courses ages ago, and have been getting back into it for the last few years. Its unbelievable how many different things you can do with it. Have you been to any of the bead stores on 6th Avenue? Some of the stuff they have is beautiful. Even Michaels and AC Moore now have a much bigger selection of interesting stuff than they used to.

There are several bead stores on the Island too. I order all of my supplies online though from Fire Mountain Gems. Depending on the type of beading you are doing, you can do really well on things with them (more advanced stuff like peyote stitch for which you need delicas, etc). But their assortment sales rock and you can get a ton of stuff for nothing!
