Sorry to crash...(maybe a TMI question)

but I figured this would be the best place to ask this:

After you had a m/c how long did you bleed? I have been bleeding for about 15 days now. It isn't heavy anymore, but still there.

After my first m/c I had a D&C so it wasn't like this at all.

So sorry for your loss Chat Icon

I bled for about a week. I don't know how long the "norm" is, nor do I know if there is a norm. If you're concerned, I would give your doctor a call.

I had a D&C so I cant really answer your question but had I chose to let it go on its own, the Dr had told me it could be weeks before it all passed.

So sorry again!! This is a great board for support if you feel you need it!!Chat Icon

Re: Sorry to crash...(maybe a TMI question)

It probably depends on how far along you were. For me, i was only about 4.5 weeks along and I only bled a few days (maybe about 4 or 5 days in total) before it all passed. But if you're farther along than that, then the bleeding can last longer.

If you're concerned, you should call the doctor just for a little reassurance. It couldn't hurt.

I'm so sorry for your lossChat Icon I bled for a VERY long time! have you had your follow up appt?

I bled for a long time b/c even though I took the meds, it didn't all come outChat Icon

Did you have a sono to see where you are at? Like I said when I had mine 2 weeks after taking the meds there was still a little piece there...so I had to take the meds again...and again that stupid little piece didn't come out so I had a D&C

Re: Sorry to crash...(maybe a TMI question)

I forgot to mention that I had a d&c so my bleeding was more along the lines of spotting.

Sorry for you loss.

With my 2nd m/c I was bleeding heavy for two weeks and then I spotted for two weeks. And with all that bleeding I got AF exactly four weeks after my D&C which I was surprised. With my 1st m/c I bled for a week and didnt get AF for six weeks. Hang in there. Everyone is different.

I was only about 5w6d when I M/C so I only bled for a few days, although it was very heavy.

Are you being monitored by blood work? It may help to know where your numbers are at, because I didn't stop bleeding until I became a - HCG
