just need to vent...never working for a "friend" again

so I busted my a$$ to get my REA lic

I have had it since the summer

I put my lic. at a "friends" company

well 4 months later and I never even got business cards

just months of lies and empty promises

so I start looking for a new job- I didn't take a 75 hour class and spend $500 for nothing

so I get an awesome job- perfect for me in every way

all my "friend" has to do is terminated my Lic. so I can move it to my new company

I have been asking since thursday

and now it's monday at 4pm and it's still not done

in fact- he didn't even show up at the office today

I would tell your friend that you will expect to be compensated for lost wages if he does not terminate your license as of X date, X time.

So sorry!

I had a less than perfect "working for a friend" experience myself... it can make thngs uncomfortable for sure. Sorry your friend's dragging his feet. Hopefully he'll come through tomorrow!

yay! he terminated me!!!!!!!

never thought I would be so happy to hear that!

I just left a message for the person to switch it at my new job


ETA- he is taking care of it!!!!!!!!!!!
