If you've successfully found a job...
what did you find most helpful? Sending out resumes in response to job postings? Posting your resume online? Networking?

Honestly, I've gotten most of my jobs through networking. I often just go to people from other agencies I work with and let them know I am looking.

I just got a new job, I went to a hiring event. It is a for a federal agency. They advertised the event on the radio and on their site. I am at my current position because I knew someone at the company and they referred me. Referrals are how I've typically found jobs in the past. I have gotten calls from posting my resume online on sites like careerbuilder.com, so I think that never hurts.
