Dilemma! I need help quick! Dog related

As I was walking to my office, I walk past an Old Navy. There are 2 min pins that have chain leashes on and are tied to a fire hydrant. I thought it was weird bc people don't normally do that in the city (at least in this area, near Penn Station). I am worried someone abandoned them! Chat Icon You think someone would go in Old Navy and leave them outside? I want to take them home!

How long did you see the dogs sitting there?

I really doubt they were abandoned, like you said, they probably just ran into a store for a couple of minutes.

Re: Dilemma! I need help quick! Dog related

They don't deserve to have those dogs.

EVERY store in the city welcomes dogs. What an idiot.
i would NEVER tether my dogs up though. Just can't do it.
If i know i'm going to the store I bring ONE dog with me.. and we go inside.
If a place doesnt allow dogs i simply dont go in.

eta: i HATE when i see dogs tethered up outside restaurants most of all. You KNOW you're going to be eating for like an hour. Why would you bring your dog?

Or at least go to a restaurant that allows dogs.

Ok- my friend called. Luckily, the girl she got on the phone is an animal lover and ran outside to check - she said they weren't there anymore. So hopefully, their STUPID owner was done shopping and took them home! Chat Icon

awww well thats good!

Once when I was at Outback in mayfair shopping outlet we saw a little MinPin walking around.... (it was before we planned on getitng a dog or even knew what a minpin was)
And i was gonna go get him and tkae him and see if i could find the owner, but the hostesses snatched him 2 seconds befoer i could and they brought him inside. i wonder what happened with him. i bet his owner was inside.

That's really stupid because you can take animals into Old Navy.

Re: Dilemma! I need help quick! Dog related

well at least they are no longer there.

One time I was shopping at our local shopping area and I saw that someone left their dog in a van w/NO windows open. It was extremely hot that day. The van was commercial so we called the number on the van and we got the dispatcher of the company and my DH basically told them that whom ever drives that van has left their dog w/closed windows on a VERY hot day. They contacted the person. We waited for a bit and he came by, otherwise I would have called the aspca.

I wowuld have done the same thing. My dog loves going in the car, but will never take him if it is hot and I have to get out.
