vent: headhunters

for the most part, headhunters NEVER call me back to let me know the status of my application unless the company wants to interview me. I can understand not getting back to me if we haven't had any interaction, but they call me constantly until I talk with them and say it's okay to send my resume to a company, and then don't get back to me if the company doesn't want to interview me. I mean, i "get" that they don't want to interview me when I haven't heard a peep after two weeks but why do they put me through the guessing games?

i had a phone interview two weeks ago. the company's recruiter said she's sending my resume to the hiring manager and that i should hear back from the agency by the end of the week. I never heard back. I called the headhunter twice and still never heard back.

i feel i can't complain because if i become "difficult" then they translate that to being a difficult employee and they won't deal with me at all.

So Frustrating!!

If you are not the flavor of the day you won't hear back. It's just the way it is.

Sorry you are frustrated. I've been there and it blows.

But, when you are the flavor of the day they won't leave you alone!

I'm going through this now. The recruiters will call and send emails until they track me down when they have something they want me to consider.
