Real Estate

I am looking into becoming a real estate agent. I know I have to go to school, but I was wondering if anyone knew of an agent that pays the full tuition for school?
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Real Estate

There's a school right in Levittown, and I believe a friend of mine who works for the Century 21 in Levittown got her tuition paid for. I know Weichert pays too.....just remember that you usually have to agree to work for that agent for a specific period of time.

I took the class at Hofstra, it cost $300. I am not sure what the Levittown school charges.

It is also pretty costly to get started, about a grand investment after all is said and done.......and time consuming!!!!

Re: Real Estate

I am going to LISOR today to register for classes. I was promised a job through Coldwell Banker after I take the test. I went for the interview yesterday - I cannot wait

I am finished with the first week of classes - One more to go. I have already learned so much. As far as Coldwell goes, I will be working Part time.

Re: Real Estate

yes
http://www.lisore.com/

Tuition with the book is $270

If you can get an advertisement from american real estate school in happauge that says the price for the 45 hour class being $160 they will honor that price and you will just have to pay $205. $160 for the class and $45 for the book.

I gotta take the school test on wednesday.

Print this out and bring it with you to sign up. Hopefully they will honor the price

Re: Real Estate

Sure anytime

Or you can always find a real estate broker that pays for the class. I know Century 21 Prevete in levittown and Weichart Dallow do.

How does this work? Do you go and get a job with a real estate first or go to school, then try and get a job? How does the salary work. Is it ALL commission? I know all the ads make it sound like you can make a million dollars. I would be afraid I could not sell a house and make no money.

Re: Real Estate

You can either get a job with a realtor and then go to school - some of them will pay for school or you can go to school and then interview for realtors. That is what I did.

The job is straight commission. You only get paid if you sell a house.

Your probably not going to sell a house right away - It may take 6 months plus to actually start making money - This is why most people do this as a second job...Same as what I am doing
