You dont have to tell anyone you dont have to. Take your time....breathe...go to the bathroom if you have to and cry.

When I came back to work I couldnt even tell people. They came up to me asking me about everything and I said I cant talk ill email you. So I emailed them b/c I found telling new people got me really emotional. Its okay to cry., not sure if you ahve anyone close there that you told., maybe you can tell that person and let it all out. I agree with OP, don't feel like you have to talk to anyone yet. I had such a hard time talking about it in the beginning. I would think I was fine, but then as soon as I started to verbalize it, I would fall apart. So just take your time, I'm sure people will understand Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It def is hard getting back to normal after going through this. I had taken a week off after my miscarriages. I needed a break and to just relax and heal.

The good thing is that atleast getting back to work does take your mind off of things. I def know the past few weeks after this 2nd miscarriage ( i had off for 3 weeks for vacation time and company closes last week of the yr). I think I have now had to much time to think about things and sulk. I need to get back into work to take my mind off of things.

Does everyone at work know what has happened? If not- it's up tp you if you want to share. I did not tell anyone except my one close friend at work. It was nice to have her know so she could cheer me up on days I was sad.

Hopefully having a nice long weekend will also give you a little more time to heal.

We are all hear if you need to chat!

Just know things will get better. After going through my 2nd miscarriage a few weeks ago.... I am surprised at how well I am doing. Each day you get stronger & start believing again that things will work out for you!!!

Re: Trying not to cry...

I'm so sorry. I am lucky enough to work from home so I checked out ALOT when everything was going on. I didn't get a D&C and bled for like 2 months straight so I had a constant reminder...things do get better. but you have to let youself here. If you feel like crying cry...if you feel like hiding hide...you have to do whats right for your right now.
I was happy I blogged about my experience because it allowed people to know what I was feeling w/out asking...I felt people were looking at me wondering if I was giong to lose it at any second.

Re: Trying not to cry...

I know how hard this is Chat Icon I really dont have any advice since when I went back to work after my first m/c I ended up quitting (for various reasons)

Are you off tomorrow? Is it possible to leave early so that you can just take the next few days to get yourself together? I wish I had better adviceChat Icon its such a tough situation and honestly nothing makes it better except time.

Im sorry you are going through this Chat Icon I just had my 2nd d&c last week and its hard for me to even get out of bed let alone go to work. I hope the beginning of the new year can bring you some peace Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Everyone heals and feels differently. As my sister always tells me, there are no rules to how you feel. So don't feel as though you should be feeling this now and this then. Take the time you need to heal and to find peace.

That being said, I felt better talking to my friends and family about. In fact, more people knew after the fact then before. I just felt better when I knew I had the support.

I wish you peaceChat Icon
