My DH can switch carriers and we have a pick of preatty much all of them. What has been your experience with yours?

Empire BC/BS Open Access (you don't want to have to get referrals)

Re: Health Insurance
We currently have Empire BC/BS ad have no complaints. Most health care providers accept that insurance. Prior to that I had HealthNet and I hated them. They were extremely limited in providers (IMO anyway). Before that I had United HealthCare and they were okay too. I think Oxford is supposed to be good too.
It definitely depends on what your individual needs are. I know my friends that have Vytra and Aetna like those companies. However, I remember when I was working as a therapist it took a lot to get approval for rehabilitative services.
If I were you, I would just make sure that your doctors are in the plan you pick and that the plan covers any anticipated health care needs you may have.

Re: Health Insurance
I've had Empire, United Healthcare and GHI and never had a problem with any of them. I feel like Empire has offered me better rates and has more options.
