So it's done and over with. I was nervous like never before. I couldn't ever have done that awake!!

They said cramping should stop by Saturday (yesterday). it got worse Saturday and continued to today. I'm def in pain and more than a period too. They just told me to take tylenol. No prescription, not pain meds, nothing.

I'm so uncomfortable... even laying still hurts.
Then there's the emotional sadness. I just want to fast forward the next month or two and see where I am. I can't wait to start trying and for a healthy pregnancy so i can really put this behind me.

Ahh how long will these cramps last??

hi Kerri I had no cramps after the miscarriage, just some uncomfortableness, but I think for me it was mostly b/c I had already miscarried mostly at home in the week leading up to the D&C, I had really bad cramps 3 days prior to it, so hopefully yours will go away soon!!

i am glad to hear you are home safe and sound i had pretty heavy bleeding and cramps after my d&c and if i remember correctly they lasted 2 or 3 days. if they don't go away by tomorrow, you may just want to check in with your ob and let them know what's going on. i called my ob's office soooo many times during our loss and they were always good about calming my fears and answering my questions. i'm sure your dr would be the same!

I'm glad its over and done with...I had to have my D&C while awake so you made the right choice. I had a wierd experience w/ the meds not working and in the end having to have D&C so all i remember is uncomfortablness...but I got pain meds...I took them so I could check out. I guess some people don't like them but I was happy to go to la la land for a while after I took the meds and after my D&C...i'm sorry you are uncomfortable...I hope it passes soon!

Hi Kerri,

My cramps got worse about 2 days after the d&c. They had only given me motrin so I called my doctor. She had me come in, checked that everything was ok (which it was) and she gave me a prescription for a mild pain pill. If you are in a lot of discomfort I would def call your doctor and request a prescription. You're going through enough right now, no need for you to be in physical pain as well.

I am so glad everything worked out. I just had my 2nd d&c on the 10th for a molar pg associated with my 2nd mc. I started cramping about four days after the D&C and heavy bleeding. I took aleve and it worked great. I also called my doctor to make sure everything was ok. Apparently your cramping and bleeding gets worse when your levels begin to drop which in turns causes the emotional roll-a-coster.

I am so sorry for everything you are going through. Try the aleve and definitely call your doctor.

I was asleep for mine.. I am glad yours is over and you can begin to heal. I had some uncomfortablness physically for a about two days emotionally its day to day! I did get a pain killer in the hospital but took it only the first day.

Its over and thats the worst part. I gotta tell you I felt I was at the lowest I can go during that time..but just recently I got my period about a month after and I feel terrific....give it time...and feel sad..you should feel that way to get better

If not, Id put a call in to the doctor. After both my d&cs, I felt fine initially then 5 days later I bled heavy and cramped but after that it all stopped.
