Interesting point made at the conference I went to
All of the presenters showed these statistics in one way or another -
IUI chances of success are roughly 7% IVF chances can be anywhere from 30-60% for a single cycle
3 IUIs cost as much as one IVF.

Re: Interesting point made at the conference I went to
Good points, but I disagree with the iui's 3=1 IVF.
My IUIS are $250 each. So 3 is not even close to an IVF cycle.
BUT I understand completly the statistics and that makes the "push" towards IVF more comprehendable.
Thanks for sharing that.

Is $250 for your IUIs with or without any insurance coverage? And is that just the IUI itself, or any medications and sonos that go with it?

Yeah I think they were talking about if you don't have any insurance coverage. It's funny that insurance makes you go through sometimes 6 IUIs before they will cover IVF... if those statistics are right...

Yes, please clarify, Donna. I figured last IUI cycle cost almost $2000 with the ultrasounds and bloodwork for two days prior to IUI and then two IUIs.
If it's only $250 for you I'm going to start driving to LI!!!

Re: Interesting point made at the conference I went to
DH and I probably spent about $6,000 for 2 IUI cycles before we had insurance. That is for the IUI's, sono's and all the bloodwork. The 3rd cycle we finally had insurance I got pregnant.
