My husband said maybe the rest of the season... I felt so bad for him....wasn't it over 1600 games he had played without a day off. I don't think the injury should end his streak...they said because he didn't play the full inning his streak is over

He is going to be out three months. Whether he played yesterday for a half inning... or a full inning... or a full game... he is injured and will be gone for a while. Streak over unfortunately.

Did you hear/read his statement? He actually apologize for being hurt. But his surgery went well. I HOPE that he makes it back by September.

I gotta give Matsui credit. Although he is overpaid  .... the man is a warrior.
His wrist was practically bent the other way... nasty to look at it.
He made the play in the end to get the ball back in the infield. He hardly grimaced.
