Does anyone's company have computers to spare?
This is a long shot but I'm giving it at try. I work for a not for profit organization that helps developmentally disabled individuals. The computer situation in my office is pitiful. We have 2 working computers for 10 of us. The company can't afford to get us any more computers. If anyone's company (or home) is getting rid of working computers can you please let me know? I'd be happy to pick it up.
Thank you!

What do you do with the computers (to give an idea of what the PC needs to be capable of)?
Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, etc). Specialized programs, graphics, large storage, etc.
Does it matter what version of Windows? Do you need a licensed copy of Office?

I have an old desktop sitting around collecting dust. It has a 20gb HD and I don't remember how much RAM - it's not super fast but it's not terrible. I also have a flat screen monitor, two wireless keyboards/mice and maybe a small deskjet printer.
I can check specifics when I get home.

I haven't spoken to my IT dept about it but I'm hoping that once I can get working computers in the office they can come set everything up. We just use it to type up reports for our cases so it doesn't need to do anything fancy. We use Microsoft word I believe. We don't need too much storage because we all save everything on our USB data sticks. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that our IT dept will be able to get us copies of microsoft office.

Anything you can offer would be great. Thanks so much.
