A place for my 7th graders to volunteer?
I'd like to take my 7th graders on a trip.. but I'm thinking instead of just go on a regular trip, perhaps I can take them somewhere they can contribute to the world and volunteer. I only have 10, so I think it would be feasible.
What do you ladies think? Any suggestions for a place I can take them during the day?

That's a great idea- is there a soup kitchen or something like that around? Or, you can do some kind of project at your school- maybe have then plant a small garden or something like that. Or they can do some kind of drive for clothing or books.

Thanks to both of you  The soup kitchen and nursing homes were both ideas I had as well ..........
Do you have any specific recs? Like, do you know of specific soup kitchens or nursing homes that you would recommend?
It could be in any of the boroughs or nassau....... TIA!!
