My father
Today my father was honored at the National Scholastic Indoor track and field Championships at the Armory in NYC in the 200 Meter race . He was a track coach and a teacher in NYC for 30 years and many of his teams from back in the 70's came. He was very inspirational to many of these men back in the day.. Because of my dad, these men stayed out of trouble, he helped get them scholarships to college, and he was like the father these men never had. Best part of the day-- Jacob was able to give the winners their medals on the winner stand in front of hundreds of people. Dad- hope you were watching from above today-- we think about you every day and now I know these men do too

that's wonderful! must have been a really rewarding experience! my father will be honored by the knights of pythias in a few weeks and i hope i can keep it together. he's only been gone 5 months and it's still sureal.
