Did anyone read "The Help"
Ive been hearing such rave reviews, so I downloaded it to my Kindle and I just cant get into it. Does it pick up?

I'm reading it right now, I'm a little more than half way through. It does start off slow for the first few chapters, until you really get to know the characters. It's really interesting though, and crazy how not so long ago it all took place. I know what you mean by it getting such rave reviews, I had high expectations for it too. So far I don't think its as good as everyone makes it seem, but maybe I'll change my mind after I finish it.

Yes it does pick up. It is one of the BEST books I have ever read- hands down! Keep with it- its definitely worth it!

Loved it- actually got on the wrong train one morning because I was so engrossed in it!  Though I think I found it hard to get into at first.

I had a hard time getting into also. I stopped reading it and read The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.
I finished The Last Song yesterday and am going to pick up on The Help again this week. Everyone I talk to says it's an amazing book, but I am having such a hard time getting into it.

Loved it! Couldn't put it down.
I then followed that up with The Secrete Life of Bees, and didn't like that much at all.

I loved this book at the beginning (Bees) and then lost interest.
